| Margaret Sweeney, fine watercolorist, graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in graphic design. Although she first went to work in the advertising field, she soon left the business world and devoted herself to her painting. Margaret loves animals, and her paintings of them almost jump off the page because they are so life-like. She has always had pets of her own---pugs, shelties, Bostons and Maltese, all from shelters and rescue groups. Of course these dogs were her first models, and she soon branched out to paint many other breeds, among which are Airedales. She now has prints of 94 different breeds of dogs available! This talented artist generously donated one of her prints, entitled "Up a Tree," to National Airedale Rescue, for the auction at the Montgomery show in early October. Proceeds from this auction will provide much-needed services for lost, abandoned, abused or unwanted purebred Airedales across the country. Margaret has been in business for herself for 18 years, and she has developed a line of charming Christmas cards representing 164 breeds. Two of the Airedale card designs are new this year, and we are including a set of each in this offering for the Montgomery auction.
