History
National Airedale Rescue, Inc.,(NAR) is an independent, self-funding non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Funds donated to National Airedale Rescue, Inc. are tax-deductible and are used to support the mission of the ATCA Rescue and Adoption Committee, including the cost of the ATCA R/A Committee website and the cost of the microchips supplied to rescue volunteers and Airedale Terrier breeders. Funds are also distributed on an as-needed basis to Airedale Rescue volunteers and groups who have agreed to abide by the ATCA R/A Committee policies and guidelines.
In 2003, the ATCA Rescue & Adoption Committee formed a non-profit charitable corporation, National Airedale Rescue, Inc., to provide a means for American citizens and corporations to financially support Airedale rescue efforts, whereby the financial contributions qualify as tax deductible contributions in the eyes of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
Funds donated are carefully allocated to Airedale Rescue volunteers who have agreed to abide by the ATCA Rescue & Adoption Committee policies and guidelines for reimbursement of bills directly associated with a Rescued Airedale.
In November, 2003, National Airedale Rescue, Inc. received its IRS certification as a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation.
In August, 2007, the Public Charity Status of National Airedale Rescue, Inc., was confirmed.
