Artist's comments:

When I went to Montgomery last year for the first time they gave us paper weights of the Centennial logo. At that point I knew what the design of the quilt should be. I designed the quilt and wanted to do a challenging square. It is machine embroidery, my first attempt. Chris Zane told me how to do the technique over the phone and Stephanie Coulshaw was kind enough to share her thread color with me. The dog took 5 hours to do and the lettering another 3 hours. I think I could have at least knocked off one of those hours if Holly and Teddy had not been playing the in and out game every 5 minutes.

Artist's Bio:

Teddy and Holly are bother and sister from the same litter. I got them 2 years apart as rescues from their breeder. They are 7 years old and Holly bosses him terribly. I also have a cat named Casey. My other cat Callie passed away last fall.

I am an ex-RN and a current Clinical Research Associate which is a fancy name for someone who monitors clinical drug trials on humans. I work for a contract research organization that runs the studies for the drug companies.

I have WAY too many hobbies. I sew, do all kinds of needlework, home improvements, garden, and the 2 newest are digital photography and scrapbooking. I bought the 100 Anniversay Photo Album of the ATCA and I am filling it with pictures of my dogs and all the internet friends and ADTs friends that we are making. I put all of the Holiday cards from the list in there with short bios of everyone. Marc and Monty from Australia got a whole page to themselves as did, of course, Sarah and Merlin.

I am a HUGE Baseball Fan, a BIG Baltimore Orioles Fan and a Cal Ripken Fan, so I have been collecting his stuff since 1984. I have an Orioles room, an ADT room, a sewing room and the ADTs sometimes let me sleep in my own bed.

I have fostered one rescue and transported 3 others. I will always have rescue ADTs.

I am also the one who spent the most on her quilt square. It cost me $800, as my sewing room received a major overhaul in the middle of making my square. I just couldn't work without storage and a new floor.
