"Obedience"

Media:  Machine pieced 2 inch squares for the background of the block. The tree, leaves and the base of the tree, fence and the airedale are machine appliqué.

Artist's comments:

I have had airedales as loving pets for 30 years. As a young married couple we studied different breeds of dogs and decided that airedales had to be the ultimate. We love everything there is to love about them. Our dales have always been members of the family. When I volunteered to do the obedience block, I had no idea what to do. One of the members of the list sent me the a beautiful photo to use for the block. I like to think that if my dales had had an opportunity to participate in obedience that they would have looked as beautiful as the one in the picture. I consider it a privilege to participate in such a worthwhile project.
