TRIBUTE TO SADIE

In April of 1991, an Airedale rescue organization brought Sadie into our lives. An unkempt and unruly adult stray, she went on to become our cherished companion for over thirteen years.

Sadie's eyes blazed with intelligence and mischief. Her front paws hammered out a tap dance when she was impatient for her walk or a morsel of chicken off your plate. In the morning, her ice-cold nose and steaming breath on your cheek were more effective than any alarm clock. But Sadie wasn't only about high jinks - she earned the nickname "Angel" because she gave us comfort through many tough times.

In April of 2003, Sadie was diagnosed with cancer and given two months to live. However, beyond all expectations, she remained with us for more than a year longer - a testament to her terrier tenacity and zest for life. She died on July 30, 2004.

Sadie, thank you for enriching our lives in countless ways. You are our "Angel" now more than ever, and we know you will greet us with your strident bark at the Pearly Gates! Love always from your family - Nori, Joe, Jacob, & Lucy
