Stewart was our second rescue. He is about nine years old now.

He came from a lady who had had him as a puppy and after a couple of years decided he wouldn't fit in her life. I believe he was used to a pampered life, sleeping late in the morning; however, I think he was by himself a lot.

When she called rescue she was moving out immediately and told them she would leave him in the apartment and when they got there they could have him...luckily, someone went over there immediately and got him.

He is a hard coated old fashioned Airedale. He weighs in at about 87 pounds and is our alpha male. (Jack is scared to death of him!!!) He is very stiff and "old" in the morning and by evening he is playbowing and "humping" Doug's leg and acts like a two year old.

His eyes aren't as clear as they used to be, and he is getting a lot of white around his eyes and muzzle but he is a wonderful Airedale and we hope he lasts a lot more years.
