Spencer was our worst rescue. He was actually picked up by an ATRA [ Airedale Terrier Rescue Association, Inc. ] volunteer from the Toledo Humane Society and then sent up to Michigan where he was neutered and cared for by their vet.

Spencer was only about fifty pounds when we got him...he is now 92#. He is a tall Airedale and looks great at that weight. He was loaded with worms, of all kinds, took a couple of months to get rid of all of them.

Of what they know about Spencer, they think he lived in a barn for most of his life...he smelled of manure after many baths.

Spencer is a quiet Airedale, still rolls on his back in submission when you go to pet him. We have had him since Thanksgiving about four years ago. He is our middle Airedale and still has a puddle in the house occasionally but we love him dearly and no matter how bad he gets I always tell him that I am never letting him go!
